If anything characterizes Andalusian culture inherited from the Arabic is its ability to lift oasis in a desert, as did our ancestors a thousand years ago, building on top of a hill a garden full of life and beauty, which they called The Alhambra.
That idea may be better to commemorate the millennium of the founding of the Kingdom of Granada, to make up that idea and recreate a lively place in the middle of the city, noise and pollution, cement and cars . A place to walk, to breathe, to read and think, a place to feel alive.
Millennium Park in the grounds of the Renfe is certainly a great idea that takes the best values \u200b\u200bof the culture that we now celebrate. Granada deserve to have a large park in the center of the city for the enjoyment of its citizens. Millennium celebration gives us the opportunity to make it happen, recovering the spirit of a thousand years ago created in the middle of nowhere this unique city.
If we truly honor our culture and our past we should do this great park to go back to wow the world, and stop talking about what a day we went. Must be shown by facts of where we come from and do not become a pathetic shadow of our past. This is our opportunity, not waste it.
